When The Sun Sets

One day will come
When the sun will set on you
Perhaps it will be morning, noon or evening
When that day comes, rest assured
That tomorrow will never come, not even the dawn
But you'll stay forever asleep
In the darkest of worlds of your own

Many will crave for your word
To listen to your narcissistic voice
But none will perceive, not even a sigh
For you will be as silent as the everlasting domicile
That lies six feet deep below the surface

Some will weep and shed tears of crocodile
Their faces woeful but hearts delightful
That you have deserted your angel partner
That you have left your western mansion unoccupied
That you have travelled free of your luxurious automobiles
For you will have handed them an opportunity
To advance and claim every bit of your possession

Your family will be clouded by the black nimbus
Wandering in the shadows of pain and sorrow
Rueful of your unrising sun
With their hands tied to their backs and tears left to pour,
They'll helplessly watch as you descend
To your eternal dwelling unperturbed
But in their minds and hearts,
You'll stay till the dawn of times

Before the day comes
When the sun will set on you
Or before its rays fall dim,
Untie your ensnared self from slavery
Walk to every corner of the world and enjoy every minute of your stay
Gratify yourself and family like tomorrow never comes
Because it's a day promised to none
For all are in the ultimate darkness
On the day when the sun will set on them
