Seven year old Tasha,
Pretty little girl,
With the future planned out,
Her dreams.
The day brings out her,
Chirpy, chatty self.
But she dreads the night,
The dark looming silent night,
She never adored darkness,
It brings her misery,
Oh!
What about her mother?
She knows what will happen,
It always happens.
Tonight as she sits,
by the balcony,
Seeing the sunset,
She believed its theraupical for her,
Mama is angry,
She wants her to go to bed, "But mama it's still early",
"No! You have to sleep right now",
Since she always respects her,
She heads to her room.
At first the night is silent,
Apart from the howling wind,
But she knows better,
It's always peaceful,
Not for long though,
First comes the pounding on the door,
Then shouting, blows and shattering of glass,
Lastly, its always sniffling,
But tonight there's none,
She waits but still nothing,
Everything is in situ.
The fear gripping,
The pounding of her heart,
Making her shake vigorously,
Won't let her get out,
She'd rather stay at her peaceful haven,
But what about Mama?
