The Sunrise
I stood there all by me,
Staring blankly at the darkened sky,
My heart shattered like a broken glass.
My feelings obscured deep inside the place,
Where no one would catch a glimpse of them.
Life seemed to be a void,
Like a dead wood in the sea.
I was locked in an interminable dark.
I will always recall it,
The most beautiful thing happened to me,
My sun rose,
And my star shone,
You occurred to me.
My feelings unimpeded,
They urged me to reach you.
I wanted to touch you,
I wanted to feel you,
I wanted to grasp you to myself,
I wanted to make you my destiny.
Something beautiful and strange happened,
My inner eyes opened,
You ignited a flame of hope in me,
A flame that brought my heart back to life,
And got my soul resurrected.
They said nothing lasts forever,
But I saw forever in your eyes,
And knew ours would last never.
You will ever be my Valentine.
Staring blankly at the darkened sky,
My heart shattered like a broken glass.
My feelings obscured deep inside the place,
Where no one would catch a glimpse of them.
Life seemed to be a void,
Like a dead wood in the sea.
I was locked in an interminable dark.
I will always recall it,
The most beautiful thing happened to me,
My sun rose,
And my star shone,
You occurred to me.
My feelings unimpeded,
They urged me to reach you.
I wanted to touch you,
I wanted to feel you,
I wanted to grasp you to myself,
I wanted to make you my destiny.
Something beautiful and strange happened,
My inner eyes opened,
You ignited a flame of hope in me,
A flame that brought my heart back to life,
And got my soul resurrected.
They said nothing lasts forever,
But I saw forever in your eyes,
And knew ours would last never.
You will ever be my Valentine.
