The Mighty Cards
We all have a card up sleeve,
And time has come to soon exercise it.
It's time we put cards close to the chest,
And to vote with our feet the corrupt leaders.
I once heard turkies vote for Christmas.
And the time has finally come ,
Let's all queue for the card.
Yeah the mighty card that determines the future,
Lets put cards on the table.
Yeah and play all of the cards right,
For five good years is no joke.
Let's not play any waiting game,
For we have been waiting the ball to drop for long.
Let's all act responsible and wise.
So in the end we would rejoice and not regret.
Let's not welcome bad leaders among us,
For a rotten apple spoils the barrel.
I once heard that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,
And how I wish we would not repeat our past mistakes.
For we have reap the bad fruits we sow.
And I think we have learnt.
For Mama once told me once bitten twice shy.
