The Distinct Flower
Crawled myself
Into the savage garden
Placed deep in the heart
Of the flowered forest
My eyeballs were incarcerated
By the magnetic red flower
Whose petals dazzled with fury
Like the rays of sun from the east
Sweet scent spread in a whisker
To thousands of miles all around
The bees buzzed about
Ingesting the scentful air
For the nectar seemed concealed
Profoundly in the hotbox of treasures
Where none would dip a proboscis
I trolled my steps to the flower
As my hand unimpeded to pluck
For its loveliness struck me out
My hand never reached the petal
But like the rest hovered about
Endeavouring unweariedly
With my heart coated with hope
To ultimately extirpate the flower
And with me take it away
