THE BATTLE WITHIN

She looked at him for a while
Then remembered their day on the isle
A soul to which she held dearly
Now going down the drain so early
Life has hit the bottom of the valley

When he took a vow she trusted
Knew through time her love was tested
Now seems a lot of time she has wasted
On her bright future darkness has fallen
All she hope for is stumble on a piece of luck

When he came home on time
She never knew it would change with time
On one day he came late
Then he left for weeks and days
The good heart of her husband
Has now grown weeds a bunch

He was good; a church guy
He told a lie and she went by
Till when they became a couple
Bound by divine and National law
Then he became of battles and bottles

From a range she was burning with rage
She's been kept hanging on the ledge
She wishes to reverse age
But her children have not become of age
Her house has become a cage
She yearns to fly out for freedom.
