Sweet Revenge

The twigs and branches,
Lying amongst the floor taunted me,
They snapped and cracked beneath my feet,
Making what should have been a silent escape,
Nearly impossible.

The night's aura added to my misery,
It seemed to know of my current predicament,
The eerie silence sent my heart racing,
I could actually hear the rhythm of my heartbeat,
My senses were on high alert,
As I surveyed my surroundings.

The moon shining bright,
Illuminated my way,
My body would soon give out to exhaustion,
Lack of food had done a number on me,
But I had to make it.

Merci's tearful eyes haunted my mind,
I know I should have tried harder,
And for that I would never forgive myself,
I should have fought more,
I guess they were right...I am a coward.

As I walk ahead to the opening,
Heading to civilization,
I promised myself,
I would be back,
And all those who hurt Merci,
They'll know the wrath,
The wrath of a pained and hurt sister.

Ooh,Sweet revenge,
Just wait for me,
I will be back,
Soon,maybe sooner,
And they will all pay,
That I will ensure.

I could write about you... But you don't deserve to live forever... .<br />Anonymous
