Today,
I sat by my window,
Rain drops pouring down so hard,
I watched the flowers in my backyard,
Sway rhythmic to the gust of wind,
Blossoming from the withering,
I wished my life was the same,
Rejuvenated by just a drop of water,
Quenching all my thirsts for you,
Ridding me all thoughts,
Definitely wild.
Heart ruled by sadness,
Engulfed deep within,
Your name engraved on my heart,
Just an imprint of your doings,
Always a reminder,
No matter how hard I try to ink,
Your's never seems to fade.
Your artsy hands did quite a lot,
Every single touch,
Every caress,
Left a pattern of your fingerprints,
Painted all over my body,
I walked to the rain,
Hoping,
Maybe... Just maybe,
It will erase all memories,
My tears won't go to waste,
I promised myself,
To never let them down again,
I know what distraught feels,
I know how it feels,
Something gnawing from within,
Aching to be let out.
I scream out all my pain,
I let it flow from my heart,
Unto my soul,
Out to the World,
Uneven breathing,
But sighing in relief,
I feel lighter than ever,
For once,
A genuine smile lights up my face,
Not the grimacing forced one,
A pure realistic one.
And in the moment,
I knew I got the rejuvenation I needed.
