Political Eclipse

The truth is not always beautiful, nor beautiful words always the truth,
So it’s either you deduce beauty from my words or extract the truth,
Political game is an eclipse,
Blocks the luminous truth from us after a complete one term revolution
It’s a game of chess.
Politicians chase after votes like an entitlement.
Voters chase after enticements, more of belittlement.
They come enshrined in the power of love,
But leave with the love for power
We sent him to the city on foot,
He’ll be back occasionally like eclipses
Oh look, he’s back with a V8 and a suit.
His promises is what his consignment list misses.
What he’s brought is earth shaking sound systems,
Thinking he’ll sound more profoundly erudite and sound.
His cars fitted with blaring sirens.
Flashing beacon lights in every corner to beckon us
You might think it’s an emergency
Oh Yes, it’s an emergency indeed,
Votes need to be evacuated with urgency,
They need to revitalize their kleptocracy,
Heckling aluta continua,
But in their minds heckling a looter continua,
How can you continue what you never started?
How can you start what you never stated?
How can you state what you never intended?
Can’t you see all along he pretended?
