Obsession

She wanted to rise to fame,
Deception and impersonation became her game,
A mirror of a future her, her body became,
Ambitions determined her fate,
She started believing she was prominent and great,
I didn't say she wasn't,
What I meant was her dreams became faint,
Another version of her she began to paint.

She didn't shake,
Neither did she refrain from being fake,
She knew her childhood were at stake
But faster to her dream life she rode with no brakes,
Any risk she was willing to take,
Even if her composure they would break.

Her old life became stale,
Hiding every real thing in her circle in dark caves,
To live luxuriously she craved,
An imposter in the open eyes yet blinded she staged,
She told herself that she was brave,
Unknowingly, she was digging her own grave.

Slowly,Her life turned to ripening grapes,
Moving from scraps to fine scrubs,
Unexpectedly,with a slippery tongue she stumbled,
Black turned to white,
An afraid fraud in broad daylight exposed,
Friends in deeds departed,
Left alone,
A fallen soldier in training,
Down from hero to zero.
