Missing You
When the sun goes down,
And darkness starts crawling in,
Before the stars starts thinking on how to shine,
Or the moon coming out of its hiding place,
I will miss you.
When I'll be going out for dinner,
Strolling on that path we used to walk the two of us,
Cracking jokes while holding hands,
When I'll lie down on that bed we used to sleep,
I will miss you.
When the night falls,
I'll sit on that rock and stare past the sky as we used to,
I'll try imagining your tender touch on my shoulder as we watched the stars,
I'll try to reminisce all those memories we shared together,
I'll catch cold yes, but I'll try feeling your warmth.
I'll order your best meal to make me feel your presence,
I'll take your favourite beverage to feel the taste,
Your seat will be physically empty,
But in my mind you'll be there with that broad smile,
I'll imagine you pinching my nose as usual,
Then I'll laugh at myself.
I'll lie down on bed alone,
But I'll hold the pillow tightly like it was you,
I'll kiss it like I used to kiss you,
At least it will give me comfort,
It will give me some hope for tomorrow,
That everything was going to be the same again.
I know you'll miss me too,
But babe keep the faith that all shall be well again,
Stay strong lest you fall into temptations,
I'll be back one day,
I'll be back and we live together forever,
For eternity is all we want.
I'll miss you babe,
But,
I'll be back.
