Listen Child.
Stretch out your hand child, stretch it out to me
Close your eyes if you wish, I won't shut mine
Bring your ears to my attention, I want to tell you the way of the world
I want to show you to follow your heart, while not corrupt,
I want to show you the wonders that may seem normal in the coming days
Child, do you see that lady in white, running along with her age?
She has seen and lived through a lot,
Her hair now has gained a gray shade, she awaits an eternal shade,
She dones generous garments, they have room for air too,
She has seen her youth fade like smoke, and she has had to smile at it,
Helpless, unable to hold onto it, perhaps to fade with it.
Child, you see that young man with sagged jeans,
Labels on his T-shirt more than the tatoos on his skin?
He is in his prime years and a blurred vision of the future is what he fathoms,
He has stolen the culture from Western videos,
And changed his 'swag', years from today he might forbid his son,
of the same things he so worships.
Child, don't step in that hole, you never know if it only hosts a shadow,
It might be hiding a speck of gold, Or a reason to break a limb.
Listen child, every hole has something,
Curiosity isn't all bad, it might not always be the cat killer you heard about,
It might host the best of opportunities,
It might also be a home to luring sweet poisons.
Listen child, look up to the sunny cloudless skies,
The sun scares away the moon, and clouds too,
But still, clouds can scare away the sun from its throne,
The sun rules alone, but it needs a dark cloudy effort to take it to the dark side,
Child, shine like the sun and scare away the clouds,
And if they come together and shun you,
Come back later, hotter and brighter than before,
And dry their wet signatures they left on your path.
