I Will Marry A Widow

January
Ring out the old year and ring in the new
A new year a new lease of life
New resolutions and new plans
So my plans was to get anew life
New love and I got her

Gorgeous and attractive she was
I approached her with vague
And she gave in
I hammered myself with pity for its a kin to love
And it was about both puppy and tough love

They say what the eyes see the heart grieves over
I knew love had already been born in us
We were into each other
I now knew her than anyone else
I couldn't do anything without her
I was obsessed and crazy in love

Then the worst happened
She moved to another city
All she could say ;her economics status couldn't allow her stay around
So I had to give in and she left
This is the time I realized that you never miss the water till the well dries

I thought what I was losing on the swings I would gain on the roundabouts
But it was difficult and different
They say love can make you crazy
I knew I had sow the wind and I was reaping whirlwind
I had to bear the consequences now

June
I'm now waiting for a rain drop in the drought
I heard she married a dying wealthy man in the street
I called to inquire and she says she still loves me
I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed
I was a walking encyclopedia
But I have been reduced to nothing
I'm now confused though I think I have won by the nose

July
She got hospitalized recently
And this made me fly to where she was
I had to lie to the husband that I'm the brother
What I can see is bottle of water over her head
The doctor says she was dehydrated
And in the end I had to donate blood for her
I only did it out of love coz I love her and the she in her

August
She is still in a coma
This is the only chance I have to hold her hands
I now have a happy heart which is better than a full purse
Her beauty makes me want to be near her forever
Her husband appreciate s me for what I'm doing
Though I'm now the brother in law who I'm not
He says I will move to his house once she's better

Today she opened her eyes
I saw her smile and that reminded me of our happy times
I moved to her house
Though now as side crush
When the husband is gone I become the king
As they say the mice rules when the cat is away
I know understand a loveless life is a living death
I'm now like a hungry belly which has no ears

The best advice is found on the pillow
The more you have the more you want
And the proof of pudding is in the eating

I'm still in exile
Waiting her to finish what she has to do for her man
I'm waiting for our wedding
She at last called and said everything was okay
I now have wealth I didn't sweat for
It's clear I won't marry a virgin any more
But I will marry a widow soon.
