Hideous Memories
Your fake personality matches,
Your fake eyelashes,
I cannot tell which is worse.
Your words sink into my soul,
Tattooed on every part of me,
No matter how hard I try to forget,
You never seem to fade into nothingness,
Much to my dismay.
You turned everything in my life,
From bright safe haven,
Crimson red roses,
Now thorny bushes,
I no longer know from bad,
Pain from pleasure,
After all, cold words bear no feeling.
Many have named,
Such tragedies" love",
My heart knows not of this,
The meaning nor the feeling, It's all jumbled in a part of a past,
Hidden in the core, deepest part of my heart,
Never to be unearthed again, For such catastrophes,
Should remain as only memories.
I know now,
All you desired was something temporary,
Your fear for everlasting,
Deprived you of happiness, Dragging me down with you.
I'm dripping with remnants,
Of your bitterness,
They ooze slowly,
Into my already creviced heart,
Awakening and nourishing,
A leashed beast,
I do not wish to unleash,
It's burning up within,
I can hear its roar.
Whatever you hold,
Isn't pleasant or amusing,
Its what everyone fears,
And as you bathe,
I hope your soul shall be cleansed.
