Give Me A Chance
Held apart by peace and calm,
Strings pull where hate drew
the line between smiles and frowns.
My hands tremble with terror
that brotherly smiles birth with the knock of dusk.
Like swans, they glide on watery ties
and break trust as waters smash rock;
little by little, till sand is birthed.
At least leave me memories to hold onto.
Give me hope of a shore
where my dreams shall bask
and stare where their mother drowned.
Give me a chance to voice my thoughts,
at least
just one more time.
