From The Judge's Chair

I once sat on a chair in Azdak's court,
Rendered judgment and passed sentences
To all but few in my court.

I broke fences.

"Too tall,"
"Too short."
"Too naive."

My voice
With the winds in my court it went.
The silence in the court my wealth.
My ears bled in the time in silence spent.

"Too fat"
"Too thin."
"Too naive."

Hence I stepped down from the judge's chair,
To stand amidst the accused,
For I was guilty
Of thinking they were guilty by my merit.

"Insane"
"Crazy"
"Fit for Arkham"

But there was no judge,
None anymore.
Thus we traded tales of our lives,
Each his own side. Perspective.

Perspective is good, but the road of patience that leads to it is badly signed.
