Expensive Reality

We're almost to our destination yet we're far from it,
All we see is darkness for light
Maybe we will need led to lead us,

Each morning is accompanied by mourning,
While every news is about the cash in cache
Yet a lot is cast just to be in a caste
We complain of having not cedar when we're the seeder
We sell our virtues and end up in life cells

Sealing our sins to the ceiling is our turned missions,
Our Christianity just scent not the one sent by Christ
The claims can't be refuted unless we rebut
Everyone now in the pace to paste their deeds
And now Christ no longer reigns but the devil rains

We pray as we prey,
We meet to mate
And marry not to merry
Churches turned to business and not worship places,
And now prophets are neglected while profits included
Christ no longer an issue but a tissue
We're clothed in clothes which are clothes not
And religion is our hearts not but statue
