Emotional Twinge

It has been a while now since I started dancing to these drumbeats of life,
I thought things will change when I see a new day
I had the same thought too the day before yesterday,
But this is how life has decided to play its music,
Tuning from pain to agony to torture…
Things like pain and sadness sound so normal to me,
Sounds strange, Right?
Don’t blame me.

Blame the thorny roses I’ve touched,
The heartless hearts I’ve tied closer to mine,
The numb faces I’ve smiled to,
The bloody hands I’ve held,
The Judases lips I’ve kissed,
The atrocious wars I’ve fought alone,
The tears I’ve not shed believing I’m strong,
The words carrying sharp razors I’ve heard,
I’m afraid my happy cells are all dead.
