DEMOCRAZY.

Who's gonna vote if you don't?
Ain't you a citizen like the rest?
Didn't you say you're among the best?
With best wishes for this state
What shall that mean when you don't vote?.
Who will choose a leader if you don't?
Who shall cast the ballot if you won't?
Who shall you blame in the end?
When a wrong leader is chosen
Or handpicked during a blackout on tally night?.
How loyal a citizen are you?
How heavy is your voting card?
How much does your I.D weigh?
What better way to be responsible?
And committed as a loyal citizen?.
What shall democracy mean as you stay home?
When demos are held at your doorstep
What words shall you voice?
When your roads remain potholed 5 more years
Who shall you point fingers at?.
When your kid innocently enquires
On your definition of democracy
Shall you have an answer for them?
Shall the ghosts of your misdoing haunt you?
Or shall you be afraid to say it?.
Will democracy still be known to you
As a rule by the people when you didn't take part?
For the people when only rogue leaders reap?
Of the people when you don't identify with it?
What then shall democracy mean to you?
