Darkness Of Sorrows

They stood together in a circular form,
Sang songs of sorrows with fainted voices,
Each wearing black garments, a sign of darkness
Their light had been blown away by the passing wind.

The wind blew its last whistle,
The clouds gathered angrily indicating hopelessness,
The sun shone deem light for a part of it had gone,
The trees bowed down to show their last respect,
It was a moment of mourning,
All faces looking down in disbelief.

She stood amongst the crowd disappointed,
On her left hand holding his portrait painted;
"Fare Thee Well"
A black rose on her right hand,
On her neck hang a chain written his name,
He had given her during her birthday,
She couldn't believe that she will never set her eyes on him again.
The same tears which had rolled down her cheeks during their engagement,
Found their way again,
This time round in a different occasion,
They were no longer tears of joy but pain.

Pain pierced her heart hurting it more,
She looked around but didn't see anyone except his shadow,
It waved him goodbye as it vanished into the unknown world,
His last words were still ringing in her mind;
"Baby, I'm coming over... Dress and meet me at the station."
"Nimepanda Ubber, will be there in a jiffy."
Little did she know it was their last conversation,

As they escorted him to his new home,
A home where there will be no more surprise visits as she had used to,
As she knelt to place the black rose where she was instructed,
All eyes followed her with sobs,
It was her first time to experience such a tragedy,
Gathering some courage to pay her last homage,
With a loud voice she said;
"Baby, don't worry. Tomorrow I'm coming to meet you."
