Child smile wide,
Smear me with awe,
Stare at the rising sun,
Look!
It rose, just for you,
See,
For your gaze it has paused.
Before it shines the world with light
It begs for your approval with puppy eyes.

Reflected in the dew on blades that sway

Pink and toothless,
