Broken Pieces
As I stand against the window shield staring into the raindrops,
Searching for quantum of solace,
My thoughts run back.
That day by the horizon,
I thought I was the best,
The one you chose out of the rest,
I had no reason to doubt you.
Now..I feel I was so stupid,
As I wallow in sorrow at the patio,
I watch you look at me with those piercing eyes,
Full of hatred and disgust,
Was I wrong to love? To fall too hard?
I dwelled in a castle of glass,
One crack had it crumbling down,
Down it went with my heart,
The pieces are a puzzle I don't wish to solve.
Deep in thoughts,
I look up and my eyes meet his,
And for a moment that lingers tirelessly,
Finally, the gale swept away my sorrow,
Am nestling my
faith on it,
Maybe... just maybe life has more in store for me.
Searching for quantum of solace,
My thoughts run back.
That day by the horizon,
I thought I was the best,
The one you chose out of the rest,
I had no reason to doubt you.
Now..I feel I was so stupid,
As I wallow in sorrow at the patio,
I watch you look at me with those piercing eyes,
Full of hatred and disgust,
Was I wrong to love? To fall too hard?
I dwelled in a castle of glass,
One crack had it crumbling down,
Down it went with my heart,
The pieces are a puzzle I don't wish to solve.
Deep in thoughts,
I look up and my eyes meet his,
And for a moment that lingers tirelessly,
Finally, the gale swept away my sorrow,
Am nestling my
faith on it,
Maybe... just maybe life has more in store for me.
