Bring It Back

It was the only one I had
The most priceless of my valuable possessions
I poured it's contents to you
And you poured what was in yours to me
Or at least I thought you did
Better yet I want to believe that you did

You breathed down my neck for a date
I had a lot on my calendar that were already filled up
St Valentine came to my rescue and it was set
A chance to suggest the activities for the day
A sauti sol concert went off your lips
The very same ones I used to enjoy
A movie at Anga IMAX
Then a dinner back at my place

To say I loved you is an understatement
I adored you
To say I stopped would be rightly wrong
But now
The same lips I enjoyed kissing
Now I'm only left seeing
The skin I used to caress
I no longer get to touch
The hand that used to touch my beard
Ain't it the same one you told me to talk to?

When I gave it to you I didn't fathom I'd ever say this
But I need it back
There's one who said she can keep it better
D'you still have it?
Or did you already break it into pieces?
Please bring it back
Please bring my heart back
A
