A Rose of the Sahara.

Pure as one from the farmer
It stood straight and strong
Unmoved by winds of the day
Unshaken by blows of sand
Bracing the cold of nights
A rose, red as it could be

Maybe it wasn't for here
Maybe a better place existed
Maybe seeds fell on wrong soil
But soil is soil
The rose had to grow

An imprint on sand dunes
A Picture of inspiration
A show of life,
A result of strife
An Icon of hope
An image of success
A rose of the desert.
