Just A Dream
The smell of happiness hit my sense,
I got myself walking towards it,
In a trial to grasp it to me,
For the quest I lived for was to have,
Not all but a little bit bliss.
The sensation grew more intense and bold,
But still I couldn't reach its spring,
'Cause it occurred as a riddle,
A conundrum that called for a genius to solve,
With a belief that I'm one I journeyed.
My past walked through me,
With all the memories unfolding,
The pains standing up to leave,
The tears coming by to say goodbye,
Now that the spice of life was coming,
That I've yearned for all through,
The happiness.
All arms opened and heart agape,
I waited to have it on me.
"Don't forslow", I mumbled,
Without any word coming out,
For I needed dry eyes and smiling heart,
And the moment was there to seize.
"Welcome to paradise", I whispered,
Slowly marching towards it.
"Open the door, its late,"
A course voice came from a distance,
It grew bold and sturdy,
As menace blows landed on the door.
A freak pierced my ears, a normal one,
Of my old and exhausted bed,
With a turn I learnt that it was all a dream.
